Stadium Tour Information

  • Stadium tours take place six times a day; 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 13:30, 14:30 & 15:30 (last tour at 15:00 on Sundays and Bank Holidays).
  • Tours can be booked online (https://tickets.mancity.com/tours.aspx), over the telephone (0161 444 1894) or by visiting the City Store.
  • Stadium tours are available on matchdays.
  • Tours last approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.
  • The tour route will be subject to stadium operations on the day.
  • The main tour route encompasses a number of steps. If this is not suitable and you require a more accessible route, please contact the club in advance.
  • This access guide covers both the accessible and main tour routes.
  • If you have special requirements please call 0161 44 1894 (Option 4 followed by option 2) to notify the club in advance.
  • There are 4 accessible toilets located along the tour route. These are located within The Tunnel Club, between the home changing room and the player’s tunnel, within The Tunnel Club Premier and off the Level 1 concourse of the Colin Bell Stand (Block 128).
  • There are also standard toilets available in places along the tour route.
  • There are steep slopes in places along the tour.
  • If required the tour guide can provide assistance with entrance doors and ramps along the route.
  • All of the tour guides have received disability awareness training.
  • Stadium tour parking is available within the Blue Car Park.
  • Additional spaces for Blue Badge holders are available within the Yellow Car Park.
  • Stadium tours begin on the first floor of the City Store.

Outside Access (City Store - City Square Entrance)

Welcome - Introductory Talk

Manchester City Exhibition Room to The Tunnel Club

  • Following the video, the tour continues out to the outer concourse.
  • Access to the outer concourse is either via 15+ clearly marked steps with handrails available on both sides located to the rear of the exhibition room or via the lift within the City Store.
  • There is a heavy, single door leading to both the stairs and lift.
  • This door has an opening width of 88cm and an extension leaf if required.
  • Once outside the City Store, the tour guide will give a short talk about the stadium before continuing towards The Colin Bell Stand.
  • The surface of the outer concourse is tarmac.
  • There are a number of clearly marked bollards on the outer concourse between the City Store and The Colin Bell Stand.
  • Having reached The Colin Bell Stand, the tour continues into the reception area and through to The Tunnel Club.

Outside Access (The Colin Bell Stand Hospitality Entrance)

  • Having reached Lift S, the tour continues down to Level -1 and along the corridor towards the players and officials area and away changing room.
  • There is a single door and a set of double doors between the lift and the players and officials area and away changing room.

  • The tour then continues along a corridor towards the home changing room and warm up room.
  • There is a double door leading into the first section of the warm up room. This door has an opening width of 130cm.
  • Following this, there is a single door leading into the second section of the warm up room. This door has an opening width of 80cm.
  • At this stage of the tour, the tour guide will give a short talk about the warm up room.
  • Following the talk there is a single door leading to the home changing room. This door has an opening width of 95cm.

Home Changing Room

  • Access to this area is via a set of double doors. The opening width of these doors is 160cm.
  • Having reached the players and officials area, the tours continues down to the players tunnel via 15+ clearly marked steps, with handrails on both sides.
  • There is vinyl and carpet flooring along this section of the route.

Home Changing Room to the Players Tunnel - Accessible Route

  • Following the photo opportunity, the tour continues out from the home changing room back to the players and officials area.
  • From here the tour heads back along the corridor towards Lift S.
  • Having reached the lift, the tour continues down to Level -2.
  • Upon exiting the lift turn right through a single, heavy door. This door opens towards you (pull) and has an opening width of 92cm.
  • Continue ahead along the corridor towards the flash interview area.
  • There is an accessible toilet available along this corridor.
  • There are 3 further single doors with widths between 83cm-92cm, as well as a set of double doors (120cm) between the lift and the flash interview area.
  • Having reached the flash interview area, the tour heads up 3 clearly marked steps with handrails on both sides to the players tunnel. These steps are at a height of 15cm.
  • There is a portable ramp available to overcome these steps.
  • The portable ramp is steep when in operation.
  • The portable ramp has a width of 75cm.

Accessible Toilet(s) (Home Changing Room to the Players Tunnel - Accessible Route)

Dug Outs to The Tunnel Club Premier - Standard Route

  • Following the photo opportunity, the tour continues down into The Tunnel Club Premier via 5 clearly marked steps with handrails on both sides.
  • Beyond the steps there is a set of double, heavy doors leading into The Tunnel Club Premier. The doors have an opening width of 170cm.

Dug Outs to The Tunnel Club Premier - Accessible Route

  • Following the photo opportunity the tour continues back along the players tunnel and down 3 clearly marked steps towards The Tunnel Club Premier.
  • There is a portable ramp available to overcome these steps.
  • The portable ramp is steep when in operation.
  • The portable ramp has a width of 75cm.
  • There is a set of double, heavy doors beyond the steps leading to The Tunnel Club Premier.
  • These doors open towards you (pull) and have an opening width of 120cm+.

The Tunnel Club Premier

  • There is a set of double, heavy doors leading into The Tunnel Club Premier.
  • These doors open towards you (pull) and have an opening width of 180cm.
  • There is step-free access within this area.
