    • Disabled Supporters who hold a ‘Blue Badge’ may apply for free parking, subject to availability, on a match by match basis. Supporters will need to supply a copy of their Blue Badge in advance to qualify for free parking.
      ‘Pay on the day’ parking is available in the Etihad Stadium car parks at a cost of £10. Minibuses and coaches are free of charge.

Blue Car Park to Sportcity Way Crossing

  • The marked Blue Badge parking bays are located in Blue Car Park G.
  • You can exit this car park in the corner next to Blue Badge Bay 1 or via the pavement next to the access road, opposite Blue Badge Bay 27.
  • In both cases there is a dropped kerb, neither of which have tactile paving.
  • The corner exit will bring you out 20m from the Sportcity Way crossing, leading to the Joe Mercer Way walkway.
  • To reach the crossing turn right after the dropped kerb and proceed straight ahead to Sportcity Way.
  • There are some loose stones on the strip of ground between the dropped kerb and the main tarmac surface.
  • If exiting the car park via the pavement, use the path on the left hand side of the access road and follow it around to the left into Sportcity Way.
  • Follow the path and turn right to cross Sportcity Way when you are opposite Joe Mercer Way.
  • At this point of the route the road is red and flush with the path.
  • There is a bollard along the first section which narrows the path to 100cm.
  • It is approximately 100m from the car park to the crossing using this route.

Sportcity Way Crossing to Joe Mercer Way

  • Cross Sportcity Way at the red section in front of the walkway to the stadium.
  • This section of road is flush with the path on both sides but there is no tactile paving.
  • At the far side of the crossing there are 2 rows of bollards.
  • The minimum width through the first row of bollards is 136cm.
  • The minimum width through the second row of bollards is 122cm.
  • The bollards do have a colour contrast with the background.
  • After passing through the bollards there is a pick-up point for the shuttle bus.
  • The shuttle bus can used by ambulant disabled supporters to access the stadium concourse.
  • The shuttle bus drops supporters next to City Square.

Joe Mercer Way to the Outer Concourse

  • Follow Joe Mercer Way for approximately 210 metres and you will reach the outer concourse.
  • The walkway has a blue painted concrete surface.
  • There is a slight uphill slope for the first 100 metres and then it levels out.
  • The walkway is wide and there are bench seats for resting at approximately 50 metres and then 100 metres.
  • There is step-free access onto the outer concourse.

Outer Concourse

  • The outer concourse has a tarmac/resin bound gravel surface and is step-free and mostly smooth throughout.
    All stands are accessible via the outer concourse.
  • On matchdays there are some merchandise cabins located around the outer concourse. The cabins have short, steep ramps for access.
    There are kiosks selling matchday programmes located around the outer concourse.
    The City Square Fanzone is located on the concourse outside the Family Zone.
  • All entrances into the stadium have step-free access.
  • A road closure operates immediately after the event/match to allow pedestrians to leave the Etihad Stadium safely. This is in place for approximately 20 minutes after the event/match.
    Roads affected by the closure include; Ashton New Road – between Alan Turing Way and Darley Street, Grey Mare Lane – between Ashton New Road and Alan Turing Way, Merrill Street – between Pollard Street and Ashton New Road.
  • Clear directional signage is provided on the concourse.
  • There is a stadium plan/map on the concourse.
  • There is a steward/member of staff available for assistance on match days.
