Getting To The Hospital

By Road
View
- Pinderfields Hospital is situated about 1 mile from Wakefield City Centre on the Aberford Road (A642). The postcode for sat-nav is WF1 4DG.
- If you are planning to park at Pinderfields, please ensure that you enter the site using the Bar Lane entrance. Visitor and patient car parks can be found by following the road round past the staff car parks. Once there, you can follow the pedestrian walkways which are marked on the map, to walk to the relevant department. There are limited parking spaces for the new hospital if you enter the site using the Aberford Road entrance. If you are dropping someone off outside Pinderfields Hospital, please enter the site using the Aberford Road entrance. There is limited car parking around this entrance and the main visitor car parks can be located by using the Bar Lane entrance.

By Bus

- There is an onsite bus stop which is located close to the main entrance. You can use Metro's online journey planner to start to plan your journey by bus. The hospital now offers a new, free bus service carrying visitors between Dewsbury, Pontefract and Wakefield hospitals. Service 113 takes patients and visitors between the three hospitals, seven days a week. Pinderfields Hospital shuttle - there is a shuttle bus service (no 111) between Wakefield Bus Station and the Pinderfields Hospital main entrance with stops along the way. MetroLine on 0113 245 7676. MetroLine is open from 7am to 10pm daily (except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day).
