About Acorn Bank - National Trust

    Accessibility Overview

With views across the Eden Valley, Acorn Bank features a Visitor Reception, tea room, an outside café, second-hand bookshop, picnic area, House, Watermill, exhibit space, gardens, and grounds with hike/trail routes.

There is car parking on site, with designated parking for Blue Badge holders near to the Visitor Reception.

The estate offers toilet facilities with adaptations for disabled people, which can be found in the café and in the courtyard area. A Changing Places Facility is also available in the courtyard.

The outside café offers step-free level access throughout the area. With staff assistance, step-free level access can also be provided into the tea room. Access to other points of interest is via ramps/slopes or steps.

Routes around the property have ramps/slopes and gravel surfaces, so manual wheelchairs, a mountain trike, and a tramper can be borrowed from the Visitor Reception. Sensory packs are also available. The National Trust recommends booking these items in advance.

Please view our Detailed Access Guides below to find out further details, including measurements and photographs.
