About Ashridge Estate - National Trust

    Accessibility Overview

Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Chiltern Hills, Ashridge Estate features an outside café kiosk, monument, meadows, woodlands, hike/trail routes, and a Visitor Centre with shops.

There is car parking on the estate next to the café and the monument, with designated parking bays for Blue Badge holders.

The estate offers toilet facilities with adaptations for disabled people, which can be found next to the Visitor Centre.

The café area offers step-free level access into and throughout it. Other points of interest are accessed via ramps/slopes or steps.

A number of main routes around the estate are uneven with some ramps/slopes, so a manual wheelchair, running buggy and mobility scooter can be borrowed from the Visitor Centre. Two, and four, seater buggies can also be borrowed from the buggy shed near to the monument. The National Trust recommends booking these items in advance.

Please view our Detailed Access Guides below to find out further details, including measurements and photographs.
