  • You can borrow or hire the following mobility vehicles: an off-road/all-terrain mobility scooter. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.

Route to (Circles Restaurant)

  • Leave the visitor reception, turn left and the restaurant will be straight ahead.
  • The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
  • Path surfaces along the route are gravel and cobbles.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is no accessible shuttle to this area.

Entrance

  • The entrance surveyed is located at the front of the building.
  • There is step-free level access at the entrance.
  • There is a single manual door which open towards you.
  • The width of the opening is 81cm.
  • There is a small lip on the threshold of the entrance with a height of less than 1.5cm.
  • During warm weather, the entrance door is permanently held open.

Eating and Drinking

  • This is a restaurant which serves hot and cold meals and snacks.
  • There is a counter where food and drink can be ordered.
  • Staff can provide assistance and offer service to tables.
  • Menu types include: written wall menus and menu boards.
  • Menus are easy to read (large clear font with contrasting colours).
  • The following are available here: drinking straws, takeaway cups, two handled cups, easy grip cutlery, a portable card machine for payment, large-handled mugs and large-handled cutlery.
  • Lighting levels are moderate to good.
  • There is background noise here.
  • There is not a hearing assistance system.

Toilet with Adaptations (Ground Floor - Ambulant - Left Hand Transfer)

  • This toilet is located to the left after you enter the restaurant.
  • There is step-free level access into the toilet.
  • This toilet is approximately 11m from the entrance.
  • There is pictorial signage on or near the door.
  • The door is manual, opens outwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
  • The width of the toilet door opening is 77cm.
  • The door has a locking handle.
  • The dimensions of the cubicle are 154cm x 204cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
  • There is a lateral transfer space to the left of the seat but it is obstructed.
  • The lateral transfer space is 92cm from the side of the toilet pan to the wall.
  • There is a spatula flush on the transfer side.
