About Belton Estate - National Trust
Accessibility Overview
Belton Estate sits in the Lincolnshire countryside and features a Visitor Reception, cafes, picnic area, shops, Mansion, parkland, formal gardens, and play areas.
There is car parking at the estate with designated parking bays for Blue Badge holders next to the Visitor Reception, and in the main car park.
The estate offers toilet facilities with adaptations for disabled people, which can be found at the rear of the House, next to the Muddy Hands café, between the car park and the House, in the Ride Play Café, and in the Stables Café.
The Visitor Reception, Formal Gardens, parkland, Ride Play Café, Stables Café and picnic area, and second-hand bookshop all have step-free level access into and throughout. The mansion offers step-free level access by way of a stairclimber to assist entry to the ground floor. The parkland picnic area and Coach House Shop offer step-free level access into them and through some areas. Other points of interest are accessed via ramps/slopes or steps.
A number of main routes around the property have cobbled and uneven surfaces, so an accessible shuttle is available to take visitors around the site, and powered mobility vehicles can be borrowed from the Visitor Reception building. Sensory packs are also available. The National Trust recommends booking these items in advance.
