Route to (Ride Play Café)

  • From the Visitor Reception Building follow the driveway towards the entrance gates. The Stable Yard is on the right hand side, through open double gates.
    The Ride Play Café is at the rear right of the Stable Yard.
  • The route to the area is step-free level.
  • Path surfaces along the route are tarmac and cobbles.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is an accessible shuttle which can take visitors to this area.

Entrance

  • The entrance surveyed is located at the front of the café, to the rear right of the Stable Yard.
  • There is step-free level access at the entrance.
  • There are double manual doors which are permanently open.
  • The width of the opening is 208cm.
  • There is a second automatic door which opens by sliding.
  • The width of the opening is 110cm.

Eating and Drinking

  • This is a café which serves hot and cold snacks.
  • There is a counter where food and drink can be ordered.
  • Staff can provide assistance and offer service to tables.
  • Menu types include: written wall menus.
  • Menus are easy to read (large clear font with contrasting colours).
  • The following are available here: drinking straws, takeaway cups, easy grip cutlery and a portable card machine for payment.

  • The dimensions of the cubicle are 156cm x 216cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
  • There is a lateral transfer space to the right of the seat but it is obstructed.

  • Access into the room is via steps.
  • There are 2 steps, which are clearly marked, with handrails on both sides.

  • The width of the door opening is 75cm.
  • The wash basin tap type is push.
  • There is no seating available in the room.
