Route to (the Walled Garden and Formal Garden)

  • After going through the visitor reception entrance gates the gardens are ahead.
  • The route to the area is step-free via a very steep ramp/slope.
  • Path surfaces along the route are concrete and paving stones.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is no accessible shuttle to this area.

Outdoor Spaces (Walled Garden)

  • This information is for the access point located ahead as you enter via the Visitor Reception entrance gates.
  • Access into the area is via a slight ramp/slope.
  • The slope is over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
  • There is open access at the surveyed access point.
  • The following outdoor facilities are available: formal gardens and gardens.
  • The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: concrete or tarmac and grass.
  • Footpaths are available in all of the outdoor spaces.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is step-free level access around the area.
  • There are bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
  • The paths have gates which may create obstacles for some users.

  • There are other similar access points throughout the walled and formal gardens.
  • The following outdoor facilities are available: formal gardens.
  • The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: concrete or tarmac and grass.
