Route to (Stables Shop)
- Follow the path to the right as you exit the visitor reception. Once you reach the road turn right and follow it until you come across a path with two bollards. Continue down that path to the main property gates. Once through the gates continue ahead and the entrance is the second door on the side of the stables on the right. Ones through the doors the shop entrance is on the right.
- The route to the area is step-free via a steep ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are concrete and gravel.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- Sensory packs can be borrowed which include: ear defenders, fidget toys and magnifying glass.

- You can borrow or hire the following mobility vehicles: off-road/all-terrain mobility scooters. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance.

Shop
- Access into the shop is via a slight ramp/slope.
- The ramp is over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- The door is manual, permanently held open and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the door opening is 90cm.
- Internally the door has a high colour contrast.
- The majority of aisle widths are over 150cm.
- All flooring in the shop is smooth and even.
- Some of the flooring has a very shiny finish, which could cause issues with glare or look slippery to some people.
- There is no step-free level access around the shop.
- Access around the shop is via steep ramps/slopes.
- There is no (or very little) background noise here.
- Lighting levels are moderate to good.
- There is step-free level access to the counter.
- The height of the counter is 92cm.
- There is a low level counter at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
- The counter has a clearly signed hearing assistance system.
- The hearing assistance system was tested and working at the time of the survey.
- Services/facilities available in the shop include: a member of staff to provide assistance and a standard wheelchair to borrow.
