Equipment and Resources to Borrow

  • The tramper can be borrowed from Visitor Welcome and is run by Countryside Mobility.
    You can get a yearly membership for £10. Members can hire for free.

Route to (Trails and Woodland)

  • From the Visitor Welcome take the paved path around to the right.
    Turn left off the tarmac path. Turn right through the open gateway and turn right again down a sloped path.
    Keep going straight through an open gate and you will be at a crossroads which marks the start of the walk. Continue straight ahead.
  • The route to the area is step-free via a steep ramp/slope.
  • Path surfaces along the route are tarmac, gravel, muddy, cobbles and paving stones.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
  • There is one small step down at the open gate ahead of the crossroads.

Outdoor Spaces

  • This information is for the access point located at the crossroads next to the Cart Pond.
  • There is step-free level access into the area.
  • There is open access at the surveyed access point.
  • The following outdoor facilities are available: parkland and woodland.
  • The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: grass, gravel and compact earth.
