About Chirk Castle - National Trust

    Accessibility Overview

Located south of Wrexham in the Welsh countryside, Chirk Castle features a Visitor Reception, shops, gardens, adventure playground, castle with tower and dungeons, and café.

Parking is available near to the Visitor Reception, with designated parking bays for Blue Badge holders.

The site offers toilet facilities with adaptations for disabled people, which can be found to the rear of the shop, and in the Castle quadrangle.

Access to points of interest throughout the site is via ramps/slopes or steps.

Main routes on site are uneven in some areas with cobbled and gravel surfaces, and slight and steep ramp/slopes within main areas, so manual wheelchairs and trampers are available and can be borrowed from the Visitor Reception. The National Trust recommends booking these in advance.
