Route to (the Shop)
- The Shop is directly ahead after exiting Visitor Reception.
- The route to the area is step-free level.
- Path surfaces along the route are cobbles.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Shop
- There is step-free level access into the shop.
- The door is automatic, permanently held open and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the door opening is 116cm.
- The majority of aisle widths are under 150cm.
- Some flooring in the shop is smooth and even.
- Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to uneven paving/tiles.
- There is step-free level access around some of the shop.
- Access around the shop is via steps.
- There is background noise here.
- Lighting levels are varied.
- There is step-free level access to the counter.
- The height of the counter is 103cm.
- There is a low level counter at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
- The counter has windows, TVs, glazed screens or mirrors which could adversely affect the ability of someone to lip read.
- The counter has a clearly signed hearing assistance system.
- The hearing assistance system was tested, however it was not working at the time of the survey.
- Services/facilities available in the shop include: a portable card machine for payment and a member of staff to provide assistance.

- The steps are clearly marked with handrails on both sides.

Toilet with Adaptations (Shop - Accessible - Right Hand Transfer)
- This toilet is located to the far left after entering the via the accessible entrance.
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- This toilet is approximately 13m from the accessible entrance.
- There is pictorial and written text signage on or near the door.
- The door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 1cm.
- The door has a twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 184cm x 246cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the right of the seat but it is obstructed.
- The lateral transfer space is 149cm from the side of the toilet pan to the wall.
- There is a lever flush on the transfer side.
- The following grab rails are available: a horizontal grab rail on the door, a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side, a vertical grab rail on the transfer side and a vertical rail on the right side of the wash basin.

- The width of the widest cubicle door opening is 55cm.

- Access to the standard toilets is via another door which is next to the Shop.
