    About Cliveden - National Trust

    Accessibility Overview

With views over the River Thames in Buckinghamshire, Cliveden features a Visitor Reception, shops, cafés, refreshment kiosk, picnic areas, play area, woodlands, and gardens with maze, parterre, terrace and pavilion.

There is car parking on site, with designated bays for Blue Badge holders near to the Visitor Reception.

The estate offers toilet facilities with adaptations for disabled people, which can be found next to the Doll’s House Café, opposite the second-hand book shop, and located in the Woodland Lounge building.

The Doll’s House Café and picnic area, Conservatory Café and picnic area, refreshment kiosk, Rose Garden, Long Garden, Duke’s Garden, and Maze, all have step-free level access into and throughout. Ilex Grove, The Parterre, and The Woodlands offer step-free level access into and through some areas. Other points of interest are accessed via ramps/slopes or steps.

Routes around the property have ramps/slopes and uneven cobbled and gravel surfaces, so a shuttle can take visitors to the Conservatory Café or the riverside. Manual wheelchairs, a running buggy and mountain trikes can also be borrowed from the Visitor Reception. The National Trust recommends booking these items in advance.
