About Clumber Park - National Trust

    Accessibility Overview

Clumber Park sits in the Sherwood Forest area of the Nottinghamshire countryside and features a Discovery Centre, Pleasure Grounds, a walled kitchen garden, and parkland.

There is car parking near the main visitor facilities with designated parking bays for Blue Badge holders and a drop-off point.

The park offers a Changing Places toilet in the Turning Yard, and toilet facilities with adaptations for disabled people which can be found near the main visitor facilities in the centre of the park.

There are a number of slight and steep slopes throughout the main visitor areas, but all facilities have step-free access to enter. The Discovery Centre has a lift to access the first floor.

The walled kitchen garden contains a vinery which has a slight ramp to enter. Some of the rooms off the glazed area of the vinery have steps and low doors to enter.

There are a large number of walking routes around the park. A map is available featuring accessible routes, which are suitable for Trampers or Powered Mobility Vehicles. These can be hired from the Information Point. Visitors can hire a side by side bike or a VeloPlus wheelchair platform bike from the Cycle Hub. National Trust recommend booking mobility vehicles and bikes in advance.

The park has two play areas, the Woodland Play Park in the Turning Yard, and the Leaping Bar Natural Play Area between the car park and Central Bark. The Woodland Play Park includes adapted play equipment.
