Admissions

  • Pedestrians, cyclists, and National Trust members can visit Clumber Park for free.
    For all other visitors there is an entry fee per person which is payable at the entrance gates to the park.
  • This site offers companion or carer discounts.

Public Transport

  • There is not a bus stop within approximately 150m of the site.
  • The nearest bus stop is Lake View Cottages on Ollerton Road, approximately 2.5 miles from the main visitor centre at Clumber Park.
  • The nearest train station is Worksop.
  • There are no direct public transport links from Worksop Station to Clumber Park, however, there are buses from the station to Worksop Bus Station and then on to Lake View Cottages.

Parking

  • This site has a car park.
  • This is an open air car park with a tarmac surface.
  • Parking is free for all users.
  • Maps and information boards are available.
  • There are more than 10 Blue Badge parking bays.
  • The dimensions of the designated Blue Badge parking bay(s) surveyed are 240cm x 485cm.
  • There is a hatched zone on both sides but not to the rear.
  • There are not parent and child parking bays available.
  • There is a designated drop-off point which is flush to the footpath.

Equipment and Resources to Borrow

  • You can borrow or hire the following equipment: a side by side bike, a running buggy, cycles and a VeloPlus wheelchair platform bike. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
  • You can borrow these from the Cycle Hub. View more information about booking and collection of equipment.
  • There are charges to borrow the side by side bikes, VeloPlus wheelchair platform bikes, cycles and running buggies.
  • You can borrow or hire the following mobility vehicles: trampers and mobility scooters. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.

Route to (Information Point)

  • The Information Point is at the rear left of the Laundry Yard.
    Use the pathway which runs along side the car parks main access road and join the pathway from the drop-off point to reach the Laundry Yard.
    The Information Point is on the opposite side of the Laundry Yard.
  • The route to the area is step-free level.
  • Path surfaces along the route are concrete.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is no accessible shuttle to this area.

Visitor Reception (Information Point)

  • There is step-free level access into the area.
  • There is step-free level access around the area.
  • There is room for wheelchair users to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm) within the majority of the area.
  • All flooring is smooth and even.
  • There is step-free level access to the counter.
  • The height of the counter is 76cm.
  • There is a low level section at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
  • The counter is placed in front of a patterned background.
  • The counter has a clearly signed hearing assistance system.
  • The hearing assistance system was tested and working at the time of the survey.
  • There are armchairs and coffee tables available in the visitor reception.
  • Services/facilities available include: a portable card machine for payment and a member of staff to provide assistance.
  • There is no (or very little) background noise here.
  • Lighting levels are moderate to good.
