    About Cotehele - National Trust

    Accessibility Overview

Overlooking the River Tamar in Cornwall, Cotehele features a Visitor Reception, Quay Information Centre, Discovery Centre, shops, cafés, picnic areas, historic buildings, Quay, and extensive grounds with gardens.

There are two car parks on the estate, near to the main entrance and near to the Quay, with designated bays for Blue Badge holders available in both.

The estate offers toilet facilities with adaptations for disabled people, which can be found next to the Quay Information Centre, and near to the Barn Café.

The Quay Information Centre and Barn Café picnic area have step-free level access into and throughout. The Upper Gardens and Orchards offer step-free level access into them and through some areas. Other points of interest are accessed via ramps/slopes or steps.

Some main routes around the estate have ramps/slopes and uneven cobble, gravel and natural surfaces, so there is an accessible shuttle operating to the House, Quay and Mill. Manual wheelchairs and a tramper can also be borrowed from the Visitor Reception. The National Trust recommends booking these items in advance.

Please view our Detailed Access Guides below to find out further details, including measurements and photographs.
