    About Cragside - National Trust

    Accessibility Overview

Sitting in the Northumberland countryside, Cragside features a Visitor Reception, Visitor Centre, food and drink facilities, shop, House, historic buildings, carriage drive, gardens, play area, and grounds with lake, labyrinth, and hike/trail routes.

There is car parking on site, with designated bays for Blue Badge holders.

The estate offers multiple toilet facilities with adaptations for disabled people, which can be found in the Visitor Centre, in the tearooms, behind the House, and next to the play area.

The Visitor Centre, Powerhouse, and shop all have step-free level access into and throughout. The formal gardens and tearooms offer step-free level access into them and through some areas. Other points of interest are accessed via ramps/slopes or steps.

Main routes around the property have ramps/slopes and uneven surfaces, so an accessible shuttle is available to take visitors around the part of the site, and manual wheelchairs can be borrowed from the House and shop. Sensory packs are also available, and Braille guides are available to borrow from the House. The National Trust recommends booking these items in advance.
