Toilet with Adaptations (Car Park - Accessible - Right Hand Transfer)

  • This toilet is located opposite the car park.
  • Access into the toilet is via a steep ramp/slope.
  • The ramp is over 150cm wide, with a handrail on the right going up.
  • There is pictorial and written text signage on or near the door.
  • The door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
  • The width of the toilet door opening is 78cm.
  • The door has a hook lock.

Equipment and Resources to Borrow

Visitor Reception

  • There is step-free level access into the area.
  • The door is manual, permanently held open and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
  • The width of the door opening is 141cm.

  • There is room for wheelchair users to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm) throughout the area.

  • There is an ambulant cubicle available with a dropdown rail on the right.
  • The wash basin tap type is push.
  • Lighting levels are moderate to good.
  • There are hand dryers.
  • There is a baby change facility which is not at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
  • There is a diagonal grab rail on the left of the female ambulant toilet.
    The male toilet could not be surveyed as it was out of order at time of survey (October 2023).
