    About Dolaucothi - National Trust

    Accessibility Overview

A Roman gold mine located in Carmarthenshire, Dolaucothi features a Visitor Reception, Field Centre, gold mine with guided tours, mine yard with exhibition buildings, picnic area, and hike/trail routes through woodland and countryside.

There are two car parking areas on site, with designated bays for Blue Badge holders in the Gold Mines Car Park.

The estate offers toilet facilities with adaptations for disabled people, which can be found in the Field Centre.

The mine yard, Workshop, Field Centre, picnic area and The Level Tour all have step-free level access into and throughout. Other points of interest and tours are accessed via ramps/slopes or steps.

Main routes around the property are step-free level with gravel surfaces, and a manual wheelchair can be borrowed from the Visitor Reception. The National Trust recommends booking this in advance.

Please view our Detailed Access Guides below to find out further details, including measurements and photographs.
