About Dunster Castle and Watermill - National Trust

    Accessibility Overview

Overlooking the Bristol Channel, Dunster Castle and Watermill features a Visitor Reception, Ticket Office, shops, café, tearoom, picnic areas, exhibitions, castle, historic buildings, gardens, parkland, and natural play area.

There is car parking on site, with designated bays for Blue Badge holders near to the Visitor Reception.

The estate offers toilet facilities with adaptations for disabled people, which can be found next to the castle, next to the Stables, and in the Watermill Tearooms.

The gift shop, 17th Century Stables exhibit, and Dream Garden have step-free level access into and throughout. The Watermill Tearoom, play area, and River Garden offer step-free level access into them and through some areas. Other points of interest are accessed via ramps/slopes or steps.

Main routes around the property have steep and very steep ramps/slopes, so manual wheelchairs and trampers can be borrowed from the Visitor Reception. The National Trust recommends booking these items in advance.

Please view our Detailed Access Guides below to find out further details, including measurements and photographs.
