About Dyffryn Gardens - National Trust

    Accessibility Overview

Located near to Cardiff, Dyffryn Gardens features a Visitor Reception, shops, café, arboretum, House (only one room open to the public), gardens, grounds, Glass House, and picnic areas.

There is car parking on the estate, with designated bays for Blue Badge holders.

The estate offers toilet facilities with adaptations for disabled people, which can be found near to the Visitor Reception, the Glass House, and in the House.

The bookshop, café, and Glass House have step-free level access into and throughout them. The gardens and grounds offer step-free level access into them and through some areas. Other points of interest are accessed via ramps/slopes or steps.

Some main routes around the estate are uneven, with gravel surfaces and ramps/slopes, so a visitor shuttle is available on most weekends, and manual wheelchairs and a mobility scooter can be borrowed from the Visitor Reception. The National Trust recommends booking these items in advance via email or telephone. Sensory packs are also available.
