Route to (The Erddig Carriage Collection)

  • After exiting the visitor reception, turn right and follow the path until you see the Tea Garden.
    At the Tea Garden turn right and go through the gap into the courtyard.
    Go through the door at the opposite side of the courtyard to enter the stables area.
    The Erddig Carriage collection is in the far right corner.
  • The route to the area includes up to 3 steps without a handrail.
  • Path surfaces along the route are tarmac, gravel, cobbles and paving stones.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is no accessible shuttle to this area.

Entrance (Cobbled Stables Area)

  • The entrance surveyed is located on the far side of the courtyard.
  • There is stepped access at the entrance.
  • The steep ramp is between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
  • There is 1 step, which are unmarked, with no handrails.
  • The step is not at the recommended height (between 15cm - 18cm).
  • There is a single manual door which are permanently open.
  • The width of the opening is 102cm.
  • There is a steep ramp between 75cm and 150cm wide beyond the entrance, with no handrails.
  • The ramp leading up to the entrance is cobbled. The ramp immediately after the entrance is uneven block paving.
