Equipment and Resources to Borrow

  • Powered mobility vehicles cannot be borrowed or hired.

Route to (Wolf's Den)

  • After exiting the visitor reception turn right and follow the path until you see the Tea Garden.
    At the Tea Garden, turn right and go through the gap into the courtyard.
    Go straight ahead and the accessible entrance to the garden will be located on the right, past the ramped and stepped entrance.
    Go through the entrance into the garden and immediately turn left then right.
    Follow the path to the large wall and turn right.
    Follow the wall and the entrance to the Wolf's Den will be located on the left.
  • The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
  • Path surfaces along the route are tarmac, gravel and cobbles.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is no accessible shuttle to this area.

Outdoor Spaces (Wolf's Den)

  • This information is for the access point located along the left hand wall in the gardens.
  • There is step-free level access into the area.
  • There is a gate at the surveyed access point which is permanently held open.
  • The gate is not self-closing.
  • The following outdoor facilities are available: a playground with play equipment.
  • The following outdoor facilities are available: an adventure playground.
  • The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: gravel and compact earth.
  • Footpaths are not available in all of the outdoor space.

  • The door is manual, opens outwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
  • The width of the toilet door opening is 90cm.
  • The door has a lever twist lock.
  • Internally the door has a low colour contrast.
  • There is a small lip on the threshold of the doorway with a height of less than 1.5cm.
