Accessibility Overview
Located north of Liverpool, Formby is a coastal site with sand dune, beach, and woodland walks with picnic areas.
There is car parking available at Lifeboat Road car park, with designated parking bays for Blue Badge holders available in each bay of the car park. Victoria Road car park and toilets are closed, with no beach access, for a major conservation project from 1st May 2025 to spring 2026.
Access to points of interest throughout the sites is via ramps/slopes.
Main routes around the site are uneven in places due to sand and natural surfaces, so multiple manual sand wheelchairs are available to hire from the Lifeboat Road Car Park. The National Trust recommends booking these in advance, details of which can be found on their website.
