Route to (the Deer Park)

  • From the visitor centre proceed along the pathway for approximately 600 metres. The entrance gate to the deer park is on the right.
    Beyond the entrance gate with St Mary's Church to the left you are then into the Deer Park area with footpaths and open space.
  • The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
  • Path surfaces along the route are compact earth, tarmac and gravel.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is an accessible shuttle which can take visitors to this area.
  • The shuttle is available on demand and can take visitors to this area from the Visitor Centre and Westgate.

Outdoor Spaces

  • This information is for the access point located along the footpath opposite St Mary's Church.
  • Access into the area is via a slight ramp/slope.
  • The slope is over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
  • There is an easy open gate at the surveyed access point which opens away from you (push).
  • The gate is not self-closing.
  • The gate has a sliding bolt lock.
  • The following outdoor facilities are available: parkland and open countryside.
