Entrance (Kiosk)
- The entrance surveyed is located at the front of the kiosk.
- There is step-free level access at the entrance.
- There is a single manual door which is permanently open.
- The width of the opening is 80cm.
Eating and Drinking (Kiosk)
- This is a kiosk which serves snacks and ice cream..
- There is a counter where food and drink can be ordered.
- Staff can provide assistance and offer service to tables.
- Menu types include: written wall menus.
- Menus are easy to read (large clear font with contrasting colours).
- The following are available here: drinking straws, takeaway cups, takeaway cutlery and a portable card machine for payment.
- Lighting levels are moderate to good.
- There is no (or very little) background noise here.
- There is not a hearing assistance system.
- There is a counter under 85cm high without a tray rail.
- The counter is 70cm high.

- This toilet is located in the park centre, on the left of the kiosk.

- This toilet is approximately 4m from the kiosk.
- There is pictorial signage on or near the door.
- The door is manual, opens outwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 90cm.
- The door has a sliding bolt lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 166cm x 233cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the left of the seat.
- The lateral transfer space is 108cm from the side of the toilet pan to the wall.
- There is a pull chain flush on the left transfer side.
- The following grab rails are available: a horizontal grab rail on the door, a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side and a vertical rail on the left side of the wash basin.
- There is no dropdown rail.
- The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: wash basin, toilet roll holder and soap dispenser.
- The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: towel dispenser.
- The height of the toilet seat above floor level is 43cm.

- There is also a male toilet in the same location.
- The width of the widest cubicle door opening is 65cm.
- The wash basin tap type is push.
- There are no hand dryers.
Picnic Area
- The following information describes the picnic area located opposite the car park and at the side of the lake.
- Access into the area is via slight ramps/slopes.
- The slope is over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- There are picnic tables.
- No chairs have armrests on both sides.
- Adapted picnic tables are not available.
- The distance between the floor and the underside of the lowest picnic table is 67cm.
- The standard height for the underside of picnic tables is 70cm.
- The following furniture is permanently fixed: all of the chairs and all of the tables.
- There is step-free level access around some of the area.
- The surface in the picnic area is not smooth and even.
- Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to grass and gravel.
Outdoor Spaces
- Access into the area is via slight ramps/slopes.
- The slope is over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- The access points to the area are located ahead from the car park (open access) and to the left side of the kiosk (a squeeze gate past a barrier 65cm wide).
- The following outdoor facilities are available: parkland and woodland.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: grass and compact earth.
- Footpaths are available in some of the outdoor space.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is step-free level access around some of the area.
- There are slight ramps/slopes without handrails and steep ramps/slopes without handrails in the main areas .
- There are slopes along the side of the lakes.
- There are bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
- The paths have easy open gates which may create obstacles for some users.
Hikes and Trails (Millers Pond)
- The trail is approximately 1 mile.
- The route goes round Millers Pond.
- The hike is not open 24 hours.
- None of the paths are lit at night.
- The route includes the following surfaces: grass and compacted gravel.
- Some of the route contains very uneven surfaces.
- These are found in the following areas: from the car park to the lake path.
- There are no alternative routes to avoid these areas.
- The route is clearly signposted.
- The route has information boards with large maps.
- Seating is available on the route.
- There are no toilet facilities along the route.
