Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.

Route to (Lady Spencer's Walk)
- Lady Spencer's Walk is located on the left between the Blue Badge parking area and the Visitor Reception.
- The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are compact earth.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Outdoor Spaces
- Access into the area is via slight ramps/slopes.
- The access points to the area are located close to the Visitor Reception.
- There is open access at the surveyed access point.
- The following outdoor facilities are available: parkland and woodland.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: grass, compact earth and loose stones.
- Footpaths are available in all of the outdoor spaces.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is step-free level access around some of the area.
- There are steep ramps/slopes without handrails, slight ramps/slopes without handrails and more than 3 steps without handrails in the main areas .
- The slopes are along the trails and hikes.
- There are bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
- The paths have easy open gates which may create obstacles for some users.
Hikes and Trails (Lady Spencer's Walk)
- The walk is approximately 1 mile.
- The route has slight slopes and surfaces of compacted earth and some loose stones.
The route goes to the steps/slope and then returns to the Visitor Reception. - The hike is not open 24 hours.
- None of the paths are lit at night.
- The route includes the following surfaces: gravel and compacted gravel.
- Some of the route contains steep gradients and steps.
- These are found in the following areas: at the end of the trail.
- There are no alternative routes to avoid these areas.
- The route is not clearly signposted.
- The route has information boards with large maps.
- Seating is available on the route.
- There are no toilet facilities along the route.
- Lady Spencer's Walk is along part of Oak Walk.
