About Ightham Mote - National Trust

    Accessibility Overview

Ightham Mote sits in the Kent countryside, and features a Visitor Reception, café, shops, House, gardens, and grounds with playground and hike/trail routes.

There is car parking on site, with designated bays for Blue Badge holders.

The estate offers toilet facilities with adaptations for disabled people, which can be found near to the café, and within the Coach House.

The Visitor Reception and café have step-free level access into and throughout. The gardens offer step-free level access into and through some areas. Other points of interest are accessed via ramps/slopes or steps.

Routes around the property have steep ramps/slopes and uneven surfaces, so a shuttle is available to take visitors around the part of the site. A manual wheelchair and tramper can be borrowed from the Visitor Reception. The National Trust recommends booking these items in advance.

Please view our Detailed Access Guides below to find out further details, including measurements and photographs.
