About Knole - National Trust
Accessibility Overview
Knole sits within Kent’s medieval Deer Park, and features a Visitor Reception, café, picnic area, shops, historic buildings, and parkland with hike/trail routes. Pre-booking is required during the school holidays.
There is car parking on site, with designated bays for Blue Badge holders, with a drop-off point outside the main building.
The estate offers toilet facilities with adaptations for disabled people which can be found in the Porter's Lodge near to the main entrance, and on the ground floor of the conservation studio building opposite the Brewhouse Cafe.
The Brewhouse Café, main giftshop, second-hand bookshop, and Orangery all have step-free level access into and throughout. Other points of interest are accessed via ramps/slopes or steps.
Main routes around the property have ramps/slopes, so manual wheelchairs and an off-road/all-terrain mobility scooter can be borrowed from the Visitor Reception. Sensory packs are also available, and a rollator can be borrowed for use in the upper Showrooms. The powered mobility vehicle must be booked in advance, and the National Trust recommends booking all other items in advance also.
Please view our Detailed Access Guides below to find out further details, including measurements and photographs.
