Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- Equipment cannot be borrowed or hired.
- Powered mobility vehicles cannot be borrowed or hired.
Entrance (Access to the Garden from the Guildhall)
- The entrance surveyed is located at the rear of the Visitor Reception.
- There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance.
- The slight portable ramp is between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- The ramp overcomes the step.
- Please contact any staff member for use of the portable ramp.
- There is 1 step, which is clearly marked, with no handrails.
- The step is not at the recommended height (between 15cm - 18cm).
- There are double manual doors which open away from you.
- The width of the opening is 125cm.
- There is a small lip on the threshold of the entrance with a height of more than 1.5cm.
Entrance (Access to the Garden from the Tea Room)
- The entrance surveyed is located at the rear of the Tea Room.
- There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance.
- The slight portable ramp is between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- The ramp overcomes the step.
- Please contact any staff member for use of the portable ramp.
- There is 1 step, which is unmarked, with no handrails.
- The step is not at the recommended height (between 15cm - 18cm).
- There is a single manual door which opens away from you.
- The width of the opening is 84cm.
- There is a small lip on the threshold of the entrance with a height of more than 1.5cm.
Outdoor Spaces (Garden and Patio)
- The following outdoor facilities are available: formal gardens.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: grass and block paving.
- Footpaths are available in some of the outdoor spaces.
- The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is step-free level access around some of the area.
- There are less than 3 steps without handrails and less than 3 steps with handrails in the main areas .
- There are bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
- The paths have easy open gates which may create obstacles for some users.
