About Montacute House - National Trust

    Accessibility Overview

Montacute House sits to the east of Yeovil, in the Somerset countryside, and features a Visitor Reception, café, picnic areas, shops, House, historical buildings, gardens, and parkland.

There is car parking on site, with designated bays for Blue Badge holders.

The estate offers toilet facilities with adaptations for disabled people, which can be found near to the Visitor Reception.

The Visitor Reception, shops, picnic areas, and West Drive have step-free level access into and throughout. The Cedar Lawn, North Garden, and parkland offer step-free level access into them and through some areas. Other points of interest are accessed via ramps/slopes or steps.

Some routes around the property cover some distance, so manual wheelchairs can be borrowed from the Visitor Reception or the House. The National Trust recommends booking this in advance.

Please view our Detailed Access Guides below to find out further details, including measurements and photographs.
