About Petworth House and Park - National Trust

    Accessibility Overview

Petworth sits within 700 acres of estate in the West Sussex countryside, and features Visitor Receptions, shops, picnic area, House and art gallery, historical buildings, Pleasure Garden, and Deer Park with hike/trail routes.

There is car parking on site, with designated bays for Blue Badge holders near to the car park Visitor Reception.

The estate offers toilet facilities with adaptations for disabled people, which can be found near the car park Visitor Reception, and in the Servants’ Quarters.

The shops and courtyard picnic area have step-free level access into and throughout. The Deer Park offers step-free level access into it and through some areas. Other points of interest are accessed via ramps/slopes or steps.

Routes around the property have ramps/slopes, so an accessible shuttle is available to transport visitors around, and manual wheelchairs can be borrowed from the car park Visitor Reception or the Church Lodge Visitor Reception. The National Trust recommends booking these items in advance.

Please view our Detailed Access Guides below to find out further details, including measurements and photographs.
