About Polesden Lacey - National Trust

    Accessibility Overview

Set amidst a 1,600-acre estate in the Surrey Hills, Polesden Lacey features a Visitor Reception, café, coffee shop, picnic areas, shops, House, gardens, play area, and estate with hike/trail routes.

There is car parking on site, with designated bays for Blue Badge holders.

The estate offers toilet facilities with adaptations for disabled people, which can be found near to the coffee shop and near to the café.

The Visitor Reception, coffee shop, café, gift shop, Dairy Courtyard picnic area, and Stable Courtyard picnic area all have step-free level access into and throughout. The gardens, estate, and play area offer step-free level access into and through some areas. Other points of interest are accessed via ramps/slopes or steps.

Some main routes around the property have ramps/slopes and gravel surfaces, so an accessible shuttle, driven by volunteers, runs on some days. A mobility scooter, manual wheelchairs and a mountain trike can also be borrowed from the Visitor Reception. The National Trust recommends booking these items in advance.
