About Quarry Bank - National Trust

    Accessibility Overview

Located south of Manchester, Quarry Bank features a Visitor Centre, shops, picnic areas, café, restaurant, historical buildings, and gardens with hike/trail routes.

There is car parking on site, with designated bays for Blue Badge holders.

The estate offers toilet facilities with adaptations for disabled people, which can be found at Visitor Reception, upper gardens, and at the Styal Village Hub. A Changing Places Facility is also available in the Mill Yard.

Visitor Reception, Garden Ticket Office and Upper Garden Café with picnic area, have step-free level access into and throughout. The Mill also offers step-free level access into and throughout level -1. The gardens and picnic area offer step-free level access into them and through some areas. Other points of interest are accessed via ramps/slopes or steps.

Some main routes around the property have very steep ramps/slopes and cobble, gravel, and compacted earth surfaces, so there is a shuttle bus available to take visitors to some main areas. Manual wheelchairs and an off-road/all-terrain mobility scooter can be borrowed from the Visitor Centre. The National Trust recommends booking these items in advance.

Please view our Detailed Access Guides below to find out further details, including measurements and photographs.
