About Seaton Delaval Hall - National Trust

    Accessibility Overview

Located north of Newcastle upon Tyne, Seaton Delaval Hall features a Visitor Reception, café, picnic area, second-hand bookshop, Hall, historical buildings, gardens, and play area.

There is car parking on site, with designated bays for Blue Badge holders near to the Visitor Reception.

The estate offers toilet facilities with adaptations for disabled people, which can be found in the café, and in the Carriage House. A Changing Places Facility is also available in the Delaval Playdium play area.

The Visitor Reception, Hall basement, and Community Kitchen Garden all have step-free level access into and throughout. The café, West Wing, Stables, and Formal Gardens offer step-free level access into them and through some areas. Other points of interest are accessed via ramps/slopes or steps.

Main routes around the property have ramps/slopes and gravel surfaces, so manual wheelchairs and trampers can be borrowed from the Visitor Reception. Sensory packs are also available. The National Trust recommends booking these items in advance.
