About Souter Lighthouse and The Leas - National Trust

    Accessibility Overview

Sitting on the coastline between the Tyne and the Wear, Souter Lighthouse and The Leas features a Visitor Reception, shop, café, lighthouse, and open access cliff-top grassland and meadows.

There is car parking on site, with unmarked bays for all users.

The site offers toilet facilities with adaptations for disabled people, and a Changing Places facility, both of which can be found near to the Visitor Reception.

Points of interest throughout the site are accessed via ramps/slopes or steps.

Routes around the site have ramps/slopes and uneven surfaces, so a manual wheelchair and tramper can be borrowed from the Visitor Reception. The National Trust recommends booking these items in advance.

Please view our Detailed Access Guides below to find out further details, including measurements and photographs.
