    About Stourhead - National Trust

    Accessibility Overview

Sitting in the Wiltshire countryside, Stourhead features a Visitor Reception, food and drink kiosk, restaurant, shop, House, historical buildings, gardens, and parkland with hike/trail routes.

There are two car parking areas on site, with designated bays for Blue Badge holders available in each.

The estate offers toilet facilities with adaptations for disabled people, which can be found near to the Visitor Reception and in the courtyard.

The Visitor Reception, restaurant, and shop have step-free level access into and throughout. Other points of interest are accessed via ramps/slopes or steps.

Routes around the property have ramps/slopes and uneven surfaces, so an accessible shuttle is available to transport visitors to some main areas, the shuttle bus doesn't have a wheelchair lift and so anyone using it needs to be able to get in and out by themselves. Mountain trikes, manual wheelchairs, and off road/all terrain mobility scooters can also be borrowed from the Visitor Reception. Sensory packs are also available. The National Trust recommends booking these items in advance.

Please view our Detailed Access Guides below to find out further details, including measurements and photographs.
