    About Stowe - National Trust

    Accessibility Overview

Sitting in the Buckinghamshire countryside, Stowe Gardens features a Visitor Reception, café, external café kiosk, picnic areas, shops, gardens, and parkland with historic buildings and features.

There is car parking on site, with designated bays for Blue Badge holders.

The estate offers toilet facilities with adaptations for disabled people, which can be found in the café, main gardens, and courtyard.

The Visitor Reception, Farmhouse Garden, café, external café kiosk and picnic area, and gift shop all have step-free level access into and throughout. The Parlour Rooms and parkland offer step-free level access into them through some areas. Other points of interest are accessed via ramps/slopes or steps.

Some routes around the estate can cover some distance, so an accessible shuttle is available to take visitors around the part of the site. A manual wheelchair and mobility scooters can be borrowed from the Visitor Reception. The National Trust recommends booking these items in advance.

Please view our Detailed Access Guides below to find out further details, including measurements and photographs.
