- The most accessible entrance has step-free level access and an open entrance with no doors.
- This entrance is on the car park side of the walled garden.

- Staff/volunteers can describe the layout and access around the site.

- Additional toilet facilities with adaptations for disabled people are located in a toilet block off the pathway from the car park / visitor reception. View information about this toilet (new tab).
Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- You can borrow these from Vyne House. View more information about booking and collection of equipment.
- Powered mobility vehicles cannot be borrowed or hired.
Route to (the Walled Garden)
- Following the pathway from visitor reception will lead to the walled garden.
- The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are compact earth, gravel and muddy.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is an accessible shuttle which can take visitors to this area.
- Due to ongoing ground works at the time of survey (November 2023), the shuttle was not operating between the house and the car park. It is recommended to contact the property in advance to make an alternative arrangement.
Outdoor Spaces
- There is step-free level access into the area.
- The access points to the area are located on opposite sides of the walled garden along the pathway from the car park to the house.
- There is open access at the surveyed access point.
- The following outdoor facilities are available: formal gardens.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: grass, gravel and compact earth.
- Footpaths are available in some of the outdoor space.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is step-free level access around some of the area.
- There are slight ramps/slopes without handrails in the main areas .
- Grassed pathways lead off from the main accessible pathway. Some of these pathways have a slight slope.
- There are bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
