Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.

- Powered mobility vehicles cannot be borrowed or hired.
Route to (the Learning Centre)
- The learning centre is to the right of the visitor centre.
- The route to the area is step-free level.
- The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
- The initial approach surface is a wooden boarded walkway then bonded gravel.
Entrance
- The entrance surveyed is located facing the rear of the café building.

- There are double manual doors (with one door locked) which opens towards you.
- The width of the opening is 92cm.
Activity
- The activity is internal.
- The activity is staffed for the duration.
- The activity does not have a hearing assistance system.

- There are tables and chairs without armrests available in the activity area.
Toilet with Adaptations (Learning Centre Toilet Block - Ambulant - Left Hand Transfer)
- This toilet is located in the toilet block attached to the learning centre.
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- There is pictorial signage on or near the door.
- The door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 90cm.
- The door has a locking handle.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 145cm x 190cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the left of the seat but it is obstructed.
- The lateral transfer space is 80cm from the side of the toilet pan to the wall.
- There is a spatula flush on the transfer side.
- The following grab rails are available: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side and a vertical rail on the left side of the wash basin.
