About Wimpole Estate - National Trust
Accessibility Overview
Wimpole Estate sits in the Cambridgeshire countryside and features a Visitor Reception, cafés, restaurant, picnic area, shops, Hall, farm animals, walled garden, parterre, and grounds.
There is car parking on site, with designated bays for Blue Badge holders.
The estate offers several toilet facilities with adaptations for disabled people, which can be found next to the Farm Café, next to the Hall, near to the Stables Café, in The Old Refectory Restaurant, and on the outside of Hardwicke Gate, before the Visitor Reception.
The Visitor Reception, Farm picnic area, and Stables Café offer step-free level access into and throughout. With the use of a stair climber, the Hall can offer step-free level access. The farm, grounds, parterre, and pleasure grounds offer step-free level access into them and through some areas. Other points of interest are accessed via ramps/slopes or steps.
Routes around the property have ramps/slopes and can cover some distance, so an accessible shuttle is available. Manual wheelchairs, a mountain trike and a mobility scooter can also be borrowed from the Visitor Reception. The National Trust recommends booking these items in advance.
