Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: a mountain trike, a manual wheelchair and manual wheelchairs. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- You can borrow or hire the following mobility vehicles: mobility scooters. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
Route to (Parterre and Pleasure Grounds)
- The Parterre and Pleasure Grounds are located at the rear of the site.
There is a path leading from Hardwicke Gate to the Stable Courtyard and then a path which leads from there past the Old Rectory to the access point. - The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are bonded gravel.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is an accessible shuttle which can take visitors to this area.
Outdoor Spaces (Pleasure Grounds)
- This information is for the access point located along the path leading from the Stable Yard.
- There is step-free level access into the area.
- There is open access at the surveyed access point.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: wood bark and bonded gravel.
- Footpaths are available in all of the outdoor spaces.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- There are bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
