About Wray Castle - National Trust

    Accessibility Overview

On the shores of Lake Windermere, Wray features a Castle, arboretum, and grounds with hike/trail routes. An independent café is also available.

There is car parking on site, with designated bays for Blue Badge holders.

The estate offers toilet facilities with adaptations for disabled people, which can be found next to the Castle.

There is level access from the Blue Badge bays to the exterior of the Castle (currently closed for refurbishment). The grounds offer step-free level access into them and through some areas. Other points of interest are accessed via ramps/slopes or steps.

Some main routes around the property have ramps/slopes and gravel surfaces, and there is a tramper route around the grounds, for which a tramper can be borrowed.

Please view our Detailed Access Guides below to find out further details, including measurements and photographs.
