- Room 1019 is a training kitchen provided for learning support training in household cooking and washing skills.

By Road
View
- The Motherwell campus is located to the south-east of Motherwell town centre, just north of the A721 Craigneuk Street. At the A721 / Robberhall Road roundabout, take the Robberhall Road north. The college is immediately on your left. Continue to the next roundabout and turn into Enterprise Way for access to the car parks.
- There is free parking for students, staff and visitors to the rear of the main building and to the far end of the campus opposite the Engineering & Automotive Building, to the rear of the Firtrees Nursery. There are blue badge bays both to the rear of the main building and in front of the Engineering & Automotive Building. There are drop off areas in front of and to the rear of the nursery.

By Bus

- There is a bus stop within 150 metres of the campus.
- There are bus stops on Robberhall Road, opposite the front of the campus. Bus routes 366 (northbound), and 367 (north and southbound) operated by Stuarts Coaches stop at the Motherwell College stops. There are additional bus services that stop on Craigneuk Street, including First Bus routes 240 and 241 and JMB Travel route 40.

By Train

- The nearest Railway Station is Shieldmuir.
- Shieldmuir station is located 1.2km (0.7 miles) south-east of the college. It is a Category A station with step-free access to both platforms. However it does not have an accessible booking office counter or ticket machines. A ramp is not available for boarding trains. The nearest fully accessible mainline station is Motherwell station, located 2.6km (1.6 miles) north-west of the college. It is a Category A station with step-free access to all platforms. The Passenger Assist meeting point is at the Ticket Office. It has an accessible booking counter and ticket machines and a ramp for boarding trains.

Learning Support Training Kitchen
- The kitchen is a training room to provide cooking, washing and other household skills.
- Within the training kitchen there are a variety of domestic white goods including 30 to 90cm high hobs and ovens, washing machines, dryers, tall refrigerator with highest shelf 135cm, and 140cm tall freezer, and 90cm high sinks and drainers, together with cooking and cleaning utensils.
- There are also stainless steel training worktops and 51cm high stools.
- There are also special adapted surfaces including manually adjustable height worktop, hob and sink, manually adjustable height stainless steel training benches and adjustable height stool.
- Flooring is non-slip. Colour contrast between floor and walls is good.
- There is no hearing assistance system, though a portable induction loop may be provided.
