About NHS Property Services

NHS Property Services looks after 11% of the NHS estate. We do this by managing, maintaining and improving our buildings and facilities, to create safe, efficient, sustainable and modern working environments.

We are a national company, with a local focus. We work with you, bringing our expertise to support better health outcomes and experiences for patients. We have responsibility for over 3,500 buildings which were previously owned, leased or managed by primary care trusts and strategic health authorities. Most of these buildings are used to provide patient care, such as GP surgeries and community hospitals.

We were set up by the Department of Health on 1 April 2013 to bring property and facilities management expertise to our part of the NHS estate. Every penny saved and generated by us is reinvested into the NHS.

Being part of the NHS family allows us to identify the building concerns and challenges our customers face, as well as the impact it has on frontline patient care. We’re investing in new technology, platforms and people to continue striving on our new journey of business transformation.
