Getting Here

  • By Road View
    • The King Edward VII hospital is located to the South of Windsor town centre on the B3022 (St Leonards Road) and the A308 (Frances Road). From the High Street follow the road as it mergers to the right onto Sheet Street. Take the second right onto Frances Street. Continue along the road until you reach the roundabout. Take the third exit continuing onto Frances Street and the hospital is on your left hand side.
    • There are two main areas of onsite car parking. The staff parking is located at the front and to the right hand side of the main hospital building and the patients and visitors car park is located to the rear and left hand side of the main hospital building. There is a one-way system in place for the patients and visitors car park.
  • By Bus View
    • There is not a bus stop on site, however there are two bus stops directly outside of the hospital on St Leonards Road. One is situated on the hospital side of the road, the services that stop here are the 16, 16A, 200, 600, 702 and the W1. The other is situated on the other side of St Leonards Road, the services that stop here are the 16, 16A, 200, 600, 702 and the W1.
  • By Train View
    • The nearest train station is Windsor & Eton Central. The hospital is 0.9 miles from the train station (19 min walk). To walk to the hospital from the station turn left as you exit the station car park turn left onto Bridgewater Terrace and then left onto Goswell Road. Take the first right onto Alma Road. Follow the road until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit continuing on Alma Road. Then take the second right onto St Leonards Road and the hospital is on your left hand side.

    • As well as that ramp, the entrance has a slight slope on either side of the door, approximately 4m long (photographs 5 and 6). There is a turning space over 150 x 150 at the top, but this is reduced as the door opens outwards.
    • At the time of survey (January 2022), the rear entrance was mainly used, however people with mobility issues can use this entrance as the door is less cumbersome than the rear door.
    • The door has a key-code lock and no intercom so staff assistance will need to be sought to use this entrance.

It has a signed hearing loop. It is for the Breast Screening Clinics so it is used depending on those clinics and was not in use at time of survey (January 2022).
