Country Park - Information
- The Rising Sun Country Park is 162 Hectares.
- Admission is free.
- There are four main trails around the park.
- These are the Green, Blue, Red and Heritage Trail.
- There are parts of the Red Heritage Trail which are not suitable for wheelchair users or people with a mobility impairment.
- There are information leaflets available online or from the visitor centre.
- Directional finger post signage is located along the paths.
- There are large maps of the park located along some of the paths.
- There are swing gates located on the footpaths entering Hadrian Wood and Plantation Wood.
- There are some information boards located along the paths.
- There is bench seating available.
- There are two bird hides overlooking Swallow Pond.
- Both bird hides have a lowered viewing window.
- Some of the paths around the park are bridleway and may be used by horse riders.
- Some of the paths are used as access roads for nearby farms.
- The traffic is generally very low level but caution is still advised.

- The Heritage Trail begins next to the Countryside Car Park and Visitor Centre. The trail is approximately 2.4 miles long.
- The Red Trail continues from the Blue Trail and is approximately 2 miles long.
- There is step-free access along the paths.
- The surface of the majority of the paths is compacted gravel.
- Some of the paths cross fields leading to Rising Sun Hill.
- The paths are not surfaced.
- The paths may be uneven in places.
