Getting To (Sandpiper Ward)
- The most accessible route from the Welland Centre for Mental Health car park has step-free level access and uneven surfaces.
- Access to the Sandpiper Ward is via the Welland Centre for Mental Health entrance.
- There is not a drop-off point at this entrance.
- The Sandpiper Ward is located on the first floor of the Welland Centre, at the end of the right side corridor.
- The Sandpiper Ward is approximately 16m from the lift.
- Enter via the Welland Centre for Mental Health entrance, turn left and go through the double doors.
Follow the corridor around to the right until you see the double doors on our left signed lift and stairs.
Go through the doors and the bank of lifts will be ahead.
Take the lift to the first floor, exit the lift lobby to the right and continue ahead.
The Sandpiper Ward will be ahead. - Internally the most accessible route has step-free level access, a lift and manual doors.
- Some flooring along the route is shiny .
- There are resting areas along the route.
- Wayfinding signage is provided.
- Signage is clearly visible with high contrasting colours.
- The following toilet facilities are available along the route; a toilet with adaptations (with right hand transfer).
