Overview

  • About View
    • The Eikon Exhibition Centre can host events of all sizes. It offers facilities and services that cater to a diverse range of events, from large-scale trade shows and exhibitions to conferences and corporate gatherings.
    • Facilities available in the venue include: exhibition halls, café, bar and changing places mobile unit.
  • Parking and Public Transport View
  • Getting In and Around View
    • There is step-free level access at the most accessible entrance.
    • There is step-free level access throughout.
    • Access throughout may include manual doors and doors permanently held open.
    • The following facilities are available: a seat/chair and a water bowl for assistance dogs.
    • Additional equipment which can be borrowed or hired includes: wheelchairs and electric scooters. This is only for certain Eikon exhibitions, and if the event requires them.
    • Additional facilities/services include: an ATM machine and Wi-Fi.
    • Eikon work with Clubsec stewarding for exhibitions, who provide disability training.
  • Toilet and Changing Facilities View
    • There are 10 toilets with adaptations.
    • Toilets with adaptations are located in the Eikon and Logan Hall.
    • The male and female toilet facilities are located in the Eikon Hall.
    • The male and female toilet facilities are located in the Logan Hall.
    • The Changing Places toilet facilities are located outside the event halls, in a mobile unit.
    • Parent and baby changing facilities are located in standard and disabled toilets in both halls.
    • There is a first aid room located to the left of the Eikon Hall entrance. The door width is 85cm. The first aid room includes a defibrillator, two beds and a stretcher. .

Parking

  • The car park is located in front the Eikon Hall.
  • The car park is open air/surface.
  • The Blue Badge bays are signposted but have no markings.
  • The most accessible route from the Blue Badge parking has level changes with no dropped kerbs.
  • Parking is free for all users.
  • The car park is stewarded for events. When required, blue badge bays can be created for events.
  • Drop off zones are created if required for specific event.

Entrance (Eikon Hall)

  • This entrance is located at the front of the venue, opposite the car park.
  • There is step-free level access at the entrance.
  • There are double manual doors at this entrance.
  • The doors are permanently held open.
  • The width of the opening is 230cm.
  • There is a second set of double manual doors .
  • The second set of doors is permanently held open.
  • The width of the opening is 180cm.
  • There are four sets of double doors at the front of the EIkon Hall and also four single doors, each with an opening width of 110cm.
  • There is step-free level access as you enter.

Counter (Foyer and Ticketing)

  • The counter is located in the foyer after the main entrance.
  • There is step-free level access to the counter.
  • The height of the counter is 95cm.
  • There is a lowered section at the counter, at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
  • There is a clearly signed fixed hearing assistance system.

Exhibition Space (Eikon Hall)

  • The venue is indoors.
  • There is step-free level access throughout all areas.
  • Access throughout may include manual doors and doors permanently held open.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is not a hearing assistance system.
  • Seating available in this area includes: chairs without armrests.

Eating and Drinking (The Eikon Café)

    • Full table service is not available.

    • The following dietary requirements can be catered for: gluten free, dairy free, lactose free, nut allergy, vegetarian and vegan.
    • The following are available: drinking straws, takeaway cups and easy grip cutlery.
    • There is not a hearing assistance system.

    • The payment counter was surveyed.
    • The counter is located at the end of the tray rail on the right.
    • There is step-free level access to the counter.
    • The height of the counter is 90cm.
    • There is not a lowered section at the counter.
